BioI grew up watching Star Trek with my dad and reading horror comics with my mom, but never saw Dr. Who until I was a teenager when my two brothers tormented me into it. So I come by my love of science fiction, fantasy and horror honestly. I write screenplays, short stories and novels when I'm not doing a paying gig.
My paying gigs include writing, teaching and designing web sites. I write for several Sci Fi Channel publications and have a column in Sci Fi Magazine called TV In Focus which explores what's coming up on the the sci fi television shows. When I'm not interviewing cool producers, writers, or tv stars, I teach Photoshop and Web Development at a local college.
On the fiction front, one of my screenplays, a vampire flick called Fangs, has just been optioned and my novel, Jade's Blood, is under consideration at Tor.
In real life I am married to the nicest guy in the world and have a cat. I also volunteer at a local animal shelter, mainly so I can pet the animals.
